Multi-factor optimization of energy performance in naturally ventilated building: a case study of office building in hot summer and cold winter climate

Nowadays, building energy consumption is responsible for 30% to 40% of total usage in many countries. The performance each related factors. Most them are determined design stage. Meanwhile, natural ventilation one the most potential passive conservation, especially hot summer and cold winter climate zone. This study aims figure out how make conservation By comparing different plans, this try provide a method help find best-optimized parameters solutions. Six main factors selected, including: orientation, exterior wall masonry, window ratio, shading overhang depth, binds slat angel(include situation when there no blinds at all), structure. A seven-layer office zone modelled simulated Energyplus. Two running plans compared: (a) air conditioning system always on during occupancy time; (b) off can guarantee thermal comfort inside building. results shows, plan saves more than designs (a).
